Whoosh! With housesitting for a week followed by a trip to Oregon for a week, I haven't had much time (or energy) for blogging.

I had a lot of fun in Oregon. On Saturday, Amber, my Sister, and my Mom threw me a lovely baby shower. There was delicious food and the added surprise bonus of a library theme a la Martha Stewart. Each guest brought a book for the baby along with their other gifts. Everyone was so sweet and generous. It was great to see a lot of people all at once since the following week was quite busy with wedding details.
On Sunday I spent some time with my Dad for Father's Day. Jonathan was in Portland and Corvallis for the first couple days of our visit, but he was able to see his Dad later in the week. On Wednesday, we took a break from wedding planning and spent the day with Jonathan's parents. They shot some maternity photos of us that I will definitely share when they are ready. We also saw one of Jonathan's sisters for dinner that night, and the other for breakfast the next day.
But the main event was my Sister's wedding! The weather was perfect and the whole day was beautiful. I can't believe she's a married lady now. I'm so glad I was able to be there all week with her to celebrate such a special occasion. Here we are during the hair portion of the process. I'll be sharing nicer photos once I get my hands on the professional ones...

Starting at eight weeks, Jonathan has taken a bump picture of me every fourth week. I wear the exact same outfit and pose the same way. After our little one is born I'm going to put them all together into one photo montage for her baby book. We took the six month photo yesterday. It blew my mind when I looked at it compared to the five month photo. My bump is so pronounced now!

Speaking of quick changes, we visited the Berry family this weekend and Noah is so different. We saw him the day after he was born, two weeks after he was born, and now at four weeks old. His personality is a little more distinct now and his body is a little more sturdy. It's fun to be around newborns and get a small glimpse of what life will be like soon. Though, it is quite odd to hold a baby while also having a bump getting in the way.

The hospital tour went well. Now that we can visualize the big day, it's getting very exciting. And my 24 week appointment went well too. Every time I see my midwives I just love them even more.

Another random detail from this weekend was that I had my plate on my lap lightly touching my belly after I was done eating and the little lady kept nudging it. It was such a strange sight to see my plate scoot a fraction of an inch seemingly on its own.

This weekend we are going on a tour of the hospital where our little lady will be born. Should be interesting.

I can't believe we'll be in Oregon two weeks from now! We are really looking forward to it and hope we get a chance to catch up with everybody. It's crazy to realize my little sister will be a Mrs. soon!

It's June! This means that warm Summer weather is on the way. My daily uniform is a dress, leggings, flats, and a cardigan to combat the office air conditioning. I can already tell that I am going to spend the next three months floating in the pool and eating popsicles. Luckily, last Summer I got some popsicle molds so I can make some delicious, healthy popsicles of my own.

My latest concoction is so easy to make, I thought I ought to share it.

1 part jam (I like raspberry)
1 part milk
2 parts plain yogurt
small squeeze of honey

Mix it all together, pour into molds, and freeze.

A tip for avoiding ice block popsicles is to use milk and yogurt with lower water content. We have 2% milk and cream top yogurt at our casa.

I'm already excited to eat another tonight! It's a great dessert or snack.
