What a week! We found out we get keys to our house on the 24th! Hooray! Quinn was visited by grandparents on both sides of the family this week. She also had two growth spurt days, which is always wild.
She met some exciting milestones in the past seven days. She started laughing last Friday. So cute! It occurred during a round of "Mirror Baby". She also began sleeping through the night this week. I'm going to officially call it because she did it every night but one. She had been eating at 9:30pm, 5:00am and 7:00am for a while. The times kept creeping later and later, 5:30, 5:45, 6:00. And then one morning my alarm went off at 7:00am and I realized I had slept through the night! No more middle of the night snuggles with my little tiny baby. She's growing up! I can't believe that season is over. Those wise moms warn you to savor it, and I think I did.
On a similar note, it boggles my mind to think of how much nursing has changed since those first weeks. It used to be a focused, tense activity that required a specific environment. I took baby steps nursing (with a cover) in the car, the church cry room, and at other people's homes. Now I can say I've done it at a car dealership and while playing a board game. I guess I'm growing up too :)
We're off to some friends' house and a nice weekend ahead.
