O God, our help in ages past,
our hope for years to come,
our shelter from the stormy blast,
and our eternal home.

Under the shadow of thy throne,
still may we dwell secure;
sufficient is thine arm alone,
and our defense is sure.

Before the hills in order stood,
or earth received her frame,
from everlasting, thou art God,
to endless years the same.

A thousand ages, in thy sight,
are like an evening gone;
short as the watch that ends the night,
before the rising sun.

Time, like an ever rolling stream,
bears all who breathe away;
they fly forgotten, as a dream
dies at the opening day.

O God, our help in ages past,
our hope for years to come;
be thou our guide while life shall last,
and our eternal home.

August 26-28 we went camping in Yosemite with the Shulls and Chambers. It was gorgeous! We took way too many photos to post here, but here are a few:At Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias (notice Baby Chambers in Amy's tummy on the right, she's such a trooper).

Jonathan "not" feeding squirrels.

El Capitan with Half Dome in the distance.

I didn't have to zoom that much, this guy was just chillin' off of the path.

Vernal Falls on the Mist/Muir Trail.

We hiked in Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias and on the Mist Trail to Nevada Falls and then back down the John Muir Trail. The rest of the time we splashed in the creek by our campsite, played games, made smores, and of course ate tons of greasy food. Nate brought an ostrich egg to eat with one of our breakfasts. It took a make-shift chisel to get it open and the six of us couldn't even finish eating it it was so huge.

Since the camping trip we have hung out with friends, played with the dog, started gearing up for Fall, and had a Pool Party at our pool for Labor Day. We have Jeff Thielman visiting this weekend so we are on course for another fun one!
